Children and Youth Classes

Sunday school classes are offered for all ages
from September through June.

Sunday School
____________________________________________________________

All Sunday School classes are held from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. Please refer to our Sunday School Calendar for a complete schedule.
All children and youth go directly to their classes which begin at 9:15 a.m. Parents are requested to promptly pick up children in preschool through grade 3 when Sunday school is dismissed at 10:15 a.m.

Children’s Classes
Our Sunday school curriculum for preschool is Heartshapers, published by Standard Press. Kindergarten through grade 6 use David C. Cook’s Bible-In-Life series, published by Reformation Press. The publishers describe this material as “curriculum firmly rooted in the Reformed faith, emphasizing the essential tenets of the great Reformed traditions.” The themes and Biblical references for the 2009-10 Sunday school fall calendar are available upon request. Contact the CE Director for more information.

Middle School Classes
Our Sunday school curriculum for our middle school students (grades 7 and 8) is from the
Vital Truth series published by LifeWay.  This is part of a comprehensive discipleship series that provides opportunities for our youth to explore 24 basic truths of Christianity. Here are some topics that our youth will address this year.

· Vital Truth: Jesus—How Can I Know Jesus as a Real Friend?
· Vital Truth: Lordship—Why Can’t I Just Do What I Feel Like Doing?
· Vital Truth: Worship—How Can I Express Love to God?
· Vital Truth: Spiritual Disciplines—How Can I Stay Close to God?

These are very probing and uncomfortable questions that Christians of all ages struggle with. They are presented in an open and safe environment that encourages in-depth reflection and discussion. Parents who have questions or would like to review a sample lesson are welcome to contact the CE Director at 847-1749 or
